WebSep 13, 2024 · You need to unwarp the image using a geometric model that mimics the effect of perspective. This can be achieved approximately by a deformation mesh (stick a grid on the cylindre), or exactly by an analytical model, of which you will determine the parameters from the image. highway 1 travelWebSep 1, 2016 at 1:45. @DuaneDibbley Yes, unfortunately the BGE doesn't seem to support sphere projection (or any projection, for that matter). I thought it would be possible to UV unwrap the sphere in such a way as to get an identical result to the sphere projection, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Hence the baking work-around. highway 1 to goldenWebNormally, to unwrap a cylinder (tube) as if you slit it lengthwise and folded it flat, Blender wants the view to be vertical, with the tube standing “up”. Hence any other point on curve C at height z above P is printed onto the point (s(t),z),wherez satisfies the profile equation p(t,z) = 0.
